Diese Nähmaschine habe ich schon vor Jahren mal geschenkt bekommen. Jetzt habe ich sie hervorgeholt um zu nähen. Ja. Ich kann’s ja selbst kaum glauben. Wer hätte gedacht, dass ich jemals das Bedürfnis haben würde, etwas zu nähen?!
Auf jeden Fall ist diese Maschine schwer. Sehr schwer. Da ist kein Plastik dran. Außer der Box auf der sie draufsitzt. Sicher ein gutes Gerät. Völlig ausreichend für das, was ich damit anstellen möchte. Das einzige Problem - ich habe keine Ahnung wie sie funktioniert!
Also, ich weiß schon, dass sie losnäht sobald ich auf das Fußpedal trete. Das klappt soweit auch schon ganz gut, das hab ich geübt. Nur - wie bekomme ich den Faden in die Nadel? Und da muss ja auch von unten irgendwie Faden kommen…
Ich stehe vor einem Rätsel. Anleitung gibt’s keine und die Herstellerfirma, der ich deswegen gemailt habe, will scheinbar nix mit mir zu tun haben.
Da bleibt nur eines, ich muss mir eine erfahrene Näherin ins Haus holen, die mir erklärt wie ich auch MIT Faden nähen kann!
I was presented with this sewing machine some years ago. Now I got it from the basement to acutally sew. Who would have thought that I would feel the need to sew?!
Anyway. The machine is heavy. Very heavy. There is no plastic other than the box. The machine is old, but sufficient for the things I like to do. The only problem - I don’t have a clue how it works!
Ok, I know that it starts sewing when I push the foot pedal. That’s working very well already, I practiced that. But - how do I get the yarn into the needle? And there has to come yarn from the bottom too. Somehow …
It’s a mysterium for me. I don’t have the instructions. I mailed the manufacturer but it looks like they don’t like me. Got no answer.
There is only one thing I can do now. Get an experienced sewer to come and show me, how I can sew WITH yarn.

Erstaunlich. Mitten im Gewittersturm hat der Wind diesen Ballon vor unserer Haustür abgelegt. Wir haben da so einen kleinen Vorbau und da ist er wohl gut gelandet. Wie schön! Hab mich ehrlich darüber gefreut. Vor allem weil ich erst heute nachmittag, als ich aus einem stickigen Einkaufszentrum wieder in den schon etwas stürmischen Tag rauskam gesagt habe, wie sehr ich kühlen Wind mag. Und Sturm - noch besser! Ich bin da ein bisserl ein Freak. Es kann mir gar nicht stürmisch genug sein. Schneesturm, Gewittersturm, ich mag sie alle!
Natürlich nur solange dabei nichts und niemand zu Schaden kommt …
Der Ballon wurde wahrscheinlich bei einer Hochzeit beschriftet und frei gelassen. Ich finde das einfach schön. Jaja … auf meine alten Tage werde ich richtig sentimental :)
Amazing! Right amidst a thunderstorm the wind brought this balloon to our doorstep. There is a little porch and he landed safe. I was thrilled. Especially because just this afternoon I said, after coming out of a rather muggy shopping center into the already cool wind, how much I love the wind. Storms - even better. I’m a bit of a freak. It can’t be stormy enough for me. Snowstorm, Thunderstorm, I love them all. Of course only as long as nobody and nothing get’s harmed …
The balloon probably was freed at a wedding. The writing on it says:”I whish that nobody will have bad dreams”. I just love that. Yes … it does indeed look like I’m getting sentimental in my old days :)

Wollte ich auch schon immer mal ausprobieren, so ein Brenndingens. Es ist zwar nur ein “Billiggerät” aus dem Baumarkt, für erste Versuche reicht es aber. Zumindest Leder lässt sich schön damit bearbeiten. Für Holz braucht man ev. ein stärkeres Gerät? Keine Ahnung. Ich muss erst etwas Holziges finden das ich probebrennen kann.
I wanted to try such a “burning tool” for some time now. It’s only a cheap thing from the hardware store, but that’s sufficient for first experiments. At least it’s working good with leather. Maybe one needs a stronger unit for burning wood? Don’t know, have to find some wooden things to try at first.

Meine Jubiläumskundin - die noch dazu eine ganz Nette ist - hat einen Gutschein bekommen. Mal sehen, ich werde mir auch etwas besonderes gönnen heute. So eine 300g Tafel Milka Noisette kommt mir da in den Sinn … *g*
