Es ist vollbracht! Nachdem ich jetzt auch ein Buch nach Singapur geschickt habe, kann ich mit Fug und Recht sagen, dass ich meine Bücher weltweit verkauft habe. Jeder Kontinent wurde zumindest einmal beliefert. Ich bin begeistert! :)
It’s done. After I sent a journal to Singapure, I can really say that my books sell worldwide. Each continent has at least on of my books on it now. I’m glowing! :)
Also, für den Anfang muss es mal reichen. Ich mag jetzt nimma …

Meine Wenigkeit ist noch Anfängerin wenn es ums Nähen von Leder geht. Aber kürzlich hab ich eine Meistern des Fachs kennengelernt. Monikas handgefertigte Krabbel- und Lederpuschen sind wahre Kunstwerke. Ich erstarre sozusagen in Ehrfurcht :)
I’m still a newbie when it comes to sewing leather. But not long ago I get to know a true mistress of leather sewing. Monika makes babyshoes and they are real pieces of art. I’ m awestruck :)
Ich habe ja nicht nur einen Shop bei Etsy. Auch bei Dawanda bin ich vertreten. Momentan schaffe ich es leider noch nicht, beide Shops zu füllen. Aber das wird noch …
Auf jeden Fall, bei Dawanda gibt es jetzt ein nettes neues Feature. Das Style Lab! Und da kann man sich unter anderem auch sein Mini Lederbuch ganz nach Wunsch zusammenstellen.Gerade habe ich die neuen Lederfarben eingestellt. Schöne Sache.
Not only do I have a shop at Etsy. I’m also on Dawanda. At the moment I don’t have enough time to fill both shops. But that will change …
Anyway, Dawanda now has a new feature, the Style Lab! Here you can compose a custom Mini Leatherjournal. I just listed the new leather colors. Nice thing. But it’s only working in german at the moment.
Geld zu verdienen mit Arbeit die man liebt ist wirklich nett. Aber was wirklich großartig ist, so viel besser als nett, so wirklich gut dass man dieses warme, wohlige Gefühl im Bauch bekommt - das sind all die wunderbaren Menschen die meine Bücher kaufen. Die mir dann zum Beispiel Mails schicken, dass die Bücher viel zu schön sind um darin zu schreiben. Natürlich versuche ich sie zu überzeugen dass sie doch einfach loslegen sollen und die Bücher schnell füllen. Es gibt ja immer wieder Neue zu kaufen *g*
Aber wirklich, das Feedback und die Kommentare die ich für meine Arbeit bekommen sind die schönste Belohnung.
Und dann gibt es da extra nette Kunden die sogar über meine Bücher bloggen. Yep. Hier! Deshalb hier mal ein dickes Danke an all meine Kunden. Und ein besonders Dickes an Rebecca. Die übrigens auch einen leckeren Shop auf Etsy hat: SOAPDELI - ein Besuch lohnt sich!
Making money with something you love doing is nice. But you know what’s really great? Much more than nice? So really good that you get this lovely warm feeling in your belly?
The wonderful people that are buying my journals. And writing mails after they got them, that the books are much to beautiful to ever write something in them for example. Of course I try to convince them to go ahead and fill them quickly so new ones can be bought *lol*
No really, all the great feedback and comments I get for my work are the best reward one can get!

Aber ab und zu traue ich mich auch mal raus ins echte Leben :)
But every now and then I go out into the real world :)
Die wachsen wie verrückt im Garten. Und sind scharf, scharf, scharf! Die Paprikapflanze hat sich auch redlich bemüht, und einen Paprika erschaffen. Ja, exakt einen. Der war dafür aber auch wirklich schön. Dann gab’s noch eine handvoll Tomaten. Die Petersilie ist überhaupt gleich gestorben, Majoran ist arg am Schwächeln, Basilikum hat wie wild geblüht und Rosmarin sowie Thymian sind scheinbar unverwüstlich.
Also, den wirklich grünen Daumen hab ich nicht …
They are growing like crazy. And they are hot, hot, hot! The green pepper plant managed to grow one pepper. Yep. One. But it was a perfect and beautiful one. And we had a handfull of tomatoes. Parsley died right away, majoram is flagging, basil did bloom like crazy and rosemary and thyme are apparently scuffproof.
I don’t really have a green thumb …
