Erstaunlich! (english text below)
Was mir momentan besonders viel Spass macht an meinen abstrakten Spielereien ist - der Überraschungseffekt. Ich weiß nicht was dabei rauskommt. Es beginnt mit etwas Farbe, einer Linie vielleicht … und entwickelt sich dann nach und nach zu einem Bild. Immer wieder spannend. Bisher habe ich mich, egal ob ich gemalt oder gezeichnet habe, immer um eine eher realistische Abbildung existierender Dinge bemüht. Das kann natürlich auch befriedigend sein. Aber viel schöner ist es, etwas vollkommen Neues zu schaffen. Aus einem selbst heraus. Ja doch! Auch wenn man dabei entdeckt, dass in einem selbst nicht viel mehr als verworrene Pfade und unscharfe Vierecke sind :)

At the moment the best part with my abstract fooling around is the surprise effect. I never know what it will look like in the end. It starts with some color, maybe a line … and bit by bit something comes together. Exciting.Until now, whenever I painted, I reached for a realistic image of some real existing things. This can be satisfying. But now I have much more joy creating new things. From my own. Yeah! Even when it means that there is not much more in me than obscure paths and blurred squares :)

Schwierig (english Text below)
Das ist der wirkliche schwere Teil. Zu wissen wan man aufhören soll an einem Bild herumzubastel. Aber, ich denke nicht dass es fertig ist. Es ist nicht was ich haben wollte. Es kommt meiner Vorstellung noch nicht mal wirklich nahe. Ich bin ziemlich sicher, die Farben sind schuld. Ich brauche bessere Farben … ;)

Well, I don’t think it’s finished. It’s not what I wanted to do. It comes not even close to what I imagined that I would do. But I’m pretty sure it’s the colors fault. I need better colors … ;)

Macht Spass! (english Text below)
Acrylfarben vereinen für mich einige der Vorteile von Aquarellfarben und Ölfarben. Transparenz ist möglich, aber auch pastoser Farbauftrag. Und es macht einfach Spass, damit zu experimentieren. So wirklich nach Herzenslust Farbe auf die Leinwand zu matschen! Ich müsste nur lernen, wie man die Bilder dann fotografiert, damit sie auch so aussehen wie in Wirklichkeit.

Acrylics do have some of the advantages of watercolors and oils. Transparency is possible as well as impasto (not sure if that’s the correct word in english). And it’s just really fun and relaxing to splash the colors on the canvas! I only would have to learn how to take pictures so the paintings look like they do in real.

Aquarellfarben haben ihre Vorteile. Ich mag die Transparenz, das Chaos, das man mit genug Wasser veranstalten kann, die Unvorhersehbarkeit. Aber ich weiß nicht recht, so wirklich warm werde ich damit nicht. Heute versuch ich es mal mit Acryl.
Watercolors do have their advantages. I like the transparency, the chaos one can get with enough water, the unpredictability. But, I don’t know, I can’t get really used to them. Today I’ll try it with acrylics.
