You’ve been not to bad to me. To say the truth, all what went wrong was my own fault …
Would not mind if 2009 would bring me the lottery win, though. That would have been something you could have done 2008, don’t you think? Give your follower a little hint in this direction please. Oh - and don’t forget to tell her (it has to be a girl this time) to make some other things better. You know what I’m talking about!
I wish all of you out there that shiny new 2009 will be good to you! May you get lots of love and laughter, success and joy, health and growing and - a lot of happy ends to open things! Happy New Year!

… while beeing on holiday, right? One of my plans for next year is to always have a full Etsy and Dawanda shop. At least 20 pieces in each one. And I’m still thinking about making my own webshop, but as long as I don’t find things that don’t need as much time to make as my journals, it doesn’t look good …

Finally my two lazy weeks are here. I was so busy making my journals the time before christmas - now is the time to play :)

The first big project I started today is the ‘over the piano’ painting. Started is probably not… well… I got the canvas on the table, that IS a start! It’s the biggest I’ve ever had and so far I don’t really have an idea what to paint on it. As I can see it from my desk all the time, it would be clever to make it something quiet and peaceful, so it calms my often crazy mind when I look at it. Am imaging something sea-themed, but will see what it really becomes …
The second big project is - to find meaningful ways to use that Dremel I just bought. Heheheh… I heard people on my Etsy forum talking about it and got curious. Well, tools and supplies have always been my biggest downfall. How could I resist? And really, there is so much one can do with that handy tool - can’t be that I don’t find things to do with it, right? So far, I drilled holes in paper and leather. Am now searching for other stuff that badly needs holes….

My first year as a selfemployed crafter is over soon. Last year I made it on the side only, still earning my “real” money with webdesign and programming. This year, I took the plunge and … it worked. I will write black figures this year. Even after taxes and social insurance. Not big figures, but still …
It would not be possible without hubby I have to say but - to make a real living will be my goal for the next year. He probably will hear me talking even more about Etsy and what to do and which supplies to buy and … Hehehe.. :)
But not only hubby is whom I’m thankful for, it are my wonderful customers who support me and make that work so full of joy and fun. Just today I got an order for this Swirl Tree journal. And now look what the lovely lady who bought it wrote as a message to the seller: “This book is beautiful. I am going to use it to make a baby journal for my daughter of her life before she was even born, places she has already been , people she has met, her nickname in utero, her sonogram picture and so on. Then she can add to it as she grows up if she sees fit.”
Things like that make me feel all warm and happy. Feedback like that is what makes my work so enjoyable. I have the most wonderful customers and you can bet - I’m very thankful for their support and all the good vibes I’m getting back from them.

November was a crazy month. I did nothing else than making one journal after the other. As much as I love (and need) selling them, I’m ready for a break now. I’m already dreaming about all the things I’ll do when I take my two weeks christmas holiday.
But I think I’ll need the two weeks before that to clean the house. It’s been weeks since I did more than some surfac
e wiping - now it’s really, REALLY needed. I’m not a good housewife, never was. Other things are always more important to me than a clean house. But now it reached a state where even I can’t stand it any longer … Am not looking forward to that cleaning frenzy but well, the free time afterwards will be my reward :)
