I was SO good. See, I only bought a wee bit!
The truth - I have most of available art materials already at home :)
Of course, if Boesner would also have fabric and leather and thread and such… it would probably have been worse.
But now excuse me please, I have to try out these daylight bulbs …
Update: I have to say, this bulbs are wonderful! I need more of them.
And - this week Star is asking about what we collect. The most important things I collect are experiences and memories. Yeah - maybe that sounds a bit sniffy but, it’s the truth. Wonderful things I collect in my head. Just for me. Ha!
But - the other things I collect are books. It’s not so much that I collect them, they just pile up here in the house. They are everywhere. In the living room, on the stairs, in the bedroom, in the bathroom (yes!)… but the biggest piles are in that little guestroom upstairs. No more emtpy shelves to fill. I think, soon we’ll really have a problem …

Ha! Inger made me do it! :)
Don’t remember every detail, but once we chatted and agreed that if she ever would do something white (as, no colors as usual), I’d make jewelry. Both are things not typical for us. As Inger is really known for her bright, colorful creations and I’m known as the … well, not interested in jewelry at all person.
But well, she made some beautiful white pieces so - I had to give it a try too. First I thought about simply string some beads on a wire but, that would have been to easy. As I don’t really have supplies for jewelry making - Fimo was my second choice. And I can say, it was A LOT OF FUN!! And - it’s wonderful to have something finished in less than two hours. Yes … I think I’ll change from bookmaking to jewelry now. Yeah. *noodes* That’s my future, I’m sure.
HA! As if! :)

This is my entry for the “Cheap, but gorgeous!” challenge. See more about it here.
I meet the “cheap” part with recycling old jeans from hubby. Not sure I got the “gorgeous” part, though!
It’s more on the crazy, wonky, strange side but anyway, I like it. And - it’s cheap, that’s not bad either, right? :)

Probably not of great interest but - I’m having a strange day today. Not a bad day, just strange. I’m constantly starting things but very little actually is finished. As soon as I start something, I’m more interested in another thing. No concentration possible today. Maybe it’s the heat or the upcoming bad weather (which they at least already forecast on the radio), or the moon or earth magnetic field or some alien radiance that’s coming through … but it’s annoying.
Of course it could as well be that I’m only looking for excuses to be lazy. We’ll never know, right? Anyway, here are the three latest journals I made. You see, it’s not my fault, I’m trying :)

Yep. Still the same colors, just other materials this time. Ink and watercolors on paper. I scanned them and it looks like my scanner has a problem. Or I just have to clean the glass … :)
Not sure yet wether I frame them - I’d have a great spot - or sign and try to sell them …
And now for something different - a photo of our fridge as requested by Star :)

I still feel the sea-breeze in my face and try to hold on to it. This “Seabubbles” journal is also my entry for the “La Vita e Bella” challenge. You can see more entries here.
My love for the sea also shows in an Etsy treasury I’ve made. It’s only valid for two days so you have to be quick …

Ahhh… back home and slowly setting back in. Austria is juicy green at the moment and our little garden looks like a jungle. Mostly that’s planned. I don’t like flowers that are standing like soldies in a row. Or having everything neatly trimmed and organized.

But these pest plants are driving me crazy. The star shaped one with the five leaves. It’s taking over whatever comes in the way. Just pulling it out does not help as it’s growing with it’s roots (no idea how to say that in english). So the only solution would be to dig it out, following every piece of root in the earth - that’s impossible. These weeds are here to stay I think …
