Walking in Clouds

Yesterday we made a trip to the Schneeberg. It was a wonderful sunny fall day, but as soon as we reached the top, clouds came and within minutes it was cold, windy and there was no view at all. Think we both brought back a big cold as a souvenir… :(
But - we will go again. It must be wonderful up there when the weather is good. Next summer, new chance :)

A travelling journal!

I got news from Maries journal. Look, it’s sitting in a plane. Hehehe… Here is what she wrote:” I ran in the Disneyland Half Marathon this past weekend and OF COURSE your journal had to come with me to help commemorate the sweet experience that the race was. 1:47 was my time (not a PR but still good) and I’m having such fun pasting pictures of the event in-between the words. The photo here is of the plane ride home.”

And I wanted to show you the red Swirl Tree I just listed in my Etsy shop. I really like that one, because of the beautiful fabric I used for the inside. Very, very nice. Yes, I’m not to shy to praise myself :D

I need your help

My friend Nathalie is, well, how can I say it… a little bit crazy for Crocs! :D
I like that, because I’m crazy for some things too.

Pink Magenta Purple Rose Violet Camera Stuff

The hardest thing for me is to get the colors right in photos. For the longest time I had a superduper lightbox built in my basement. The light was strong (used big halogen lights) but the colors always where way off.
Because of that I bought daylight bulbs. The colors still don’t come out right (and I have ugly shadows now because they are not as strong as the ones I had in my lightbox). I always have to adjust the colors in photoshop. I come close. At least on my monitor. I’m to afraid to think about how it may look on others. But well, so far nobobdy has complained that the colors of the books where wrong or something like that. I can’t be that much off :D

Pink and purple shades are the hardest. See the purple dragonfly I just made? It’s okay now, but it’s not exactly the color it has in real. And the shadows… *sighs*

Anyway. I blame my old camera to be part of the problem, yes! I want a new one. A good one. The new Canon G11  maybe? Ah well. First I have to sell the Dragonfly and many other journals before I can even think about spending a bigger amount of money …

It’s a pink world …

Today I was looking for shoes. Comfy ones for walking. Are they called sneakers? I’m not sure as there are now shoes for every activity available. Walking shoes and running shoes and trekking shoes and hiking shoes, airconditioned and gel injected and pressure resistant and what the hell else. And prices they have, oh my… do people really buy running shoes worth EUR 300.- and more?
But what really makes my eyes itch is - the pink factor. Is it a written rule somewhere that all women have to love pink? And glitter stuff? I mean, I’ve never seen so many ugly shoes at one place. Ugly and expensive. Tsk!
I found some simply black ones. In a much cheaper store, for EUR 40.- Can’t help it, I’m a cheap and not pink girl at all …
Nevertheless, my pink Fairy Tree is a bestseller, at least in my Dawanda shop. See the screenshot from my latest sales above. So …  I better should not talk bad about the girls who love pink :D
