Sorry for all others … but thanks for the love! I wish I could send one to all of you. THEN I will make and send books to you all. Promised! :D

This is the “Unloved”. I had it in my Etsy shop, I had it in my Dawanda shop - nobody ever wanted it. Don’t know why, I still think it’s pretty cool. A bit strange maybe, but well, you know I like that!
So - I hope there is someone out there who at least takes it for free. I will ship to wherever in the world you are, don’t worry. And all you have to do is to leave a comment so I have your email address to contact you.
The random winner will be picked on June 6th! Good luck! :)

I’m a Glückspilz (a Lucky dog, well lucky mushroom literally)

You will be jealous after reading this post. So … you have been warned!

Lucky me did not win one, but two giveaways! And I don’t even enter that many so I count myself really lucky, yes!
First is a beautiful cuff from Carol from Sandfibers. And not enough, she also spoiled me with these wonderful Lisa Peters buttons. I don’t think I’ll ever bring myself to actually use them!
Second are the wonderful Edinburgh prints from Rhiannon aka Starrybluesky. Can’t wait to have them framed on my wall!
And third is a totally unexpected - of course - present to my “Unbirthday” from Ingermaaike! Can’t decide wether to wear that lovely soft tree around my neck, or pin it to my wall so I can adore all the details!

Thanks and hippo hugs to all three again! You are amazing! :)

Egypt - the first trip

Hard to believe, but the two weeks in Egypt are already over.
We had a fantastic time. Seven days we spent on a Nile cruise with much sightseeing, the remaining days we where just laying on the beach in Hurghada. It was hot, 36° in the shadow. I felt like fried bacon in the end :)

We’ve visited the Horus temple in Edfu, the temple in Kom Ombo where we’ve seen the first calendar, the mosque in Assuan where we’ve learned a lot more about the islam, the coptic church where we got a lot of info about the first christians (if only I’d remember all that), the dam of course, the Kitchener Island, Abu Simbel (my personal highlight, the light show in the evening is great too), the Philae temple, Luxor and the Luxor temple, the temple complex of Karnak, the MC Donalds there (they have delivery service!!!?!), the Luxor Museum, the valley of the kings (the tombs are amazing, esp. the one of Ramses I., Memnon Collosus, Hatschepsut temple… I’m sure I’m missing something. The cruise week really was stuffed with sight seeing - and I loved it! I also learned how to make papyrus. Now I only need to learn how to grow it at home …

And of course I had to bring back some souvenirs …

The first trip because - we have to go back to visit Kairo and see the pyramids, the sphinx and the museum. It would have been possible to make it a day trip, but that would have been a bit to much. We’ll make that a three/four day trip, hopefully soon … :)
