I have one of those stamps you mentioned too, and I never bother to change the text on it either :/
when I do i use plastic tweezers that came with it, a bit more manageable :)

I know exactly what you mean by changing the wording on that stamp! I use mine with two different urls and changing just few letters takes some effort. Other than that this stamp is my “best friend”!
