Sewing Machine Troubles

652.jpg723.jpg817.jpg

I could go  with the lost stitch on pic nr. 1. At least, that looks somewhat … artistic. But what she (the sewing machine) did afterwards is just unacceptable.  I understand it’s a problem with tension. I don’t mind changing the “top” tension, but she (the sewing machine) better not forces me to fool around with the one on the bobbin!!!

910.jpgAny sewing masters out there who can explain to me what happend there? It worked fine. All I did was change  stitches …

She (you know who) just ruined what could have become the coolest journal ever! Well, maybe not the coolest, but anyway … ruined. Bah!

When my machine acts like that, it needs some dusting inside + some oil…did you notice a change in noise? Or maybe your thread came “loose” somewhere (I mean it skips one of the place where it is supposed to go through when you thread)

when mine like this K, usually the tension or change the needle to bigger size. For the tension, I’m not sure how is working with yours but mine, I need to keep adjusting with the same remnant material until the perfect one come up. It can be time consuming:(

Oh, this is so bad! Actually it just happened to me, too. But at least I’m not sewing leather, so I can make everything nice again. Guess mine should see the service again…

Skipped stitches usually means that your tension is too tight. Possibly you are using a thread that is too fine, or a needle that is not heavy enough. Try using a needle specially made for leather or a heavy fabric like denim. Hope this helps!
